Role Description, Trusteeship and Safeguarding

PCC Members are effectively trustees of the Charity.

PCC Members must have 'due regard' to safeguarding guidance

Please note under section 5 of the Safeguarding and Clergy Discipline Measure 2016*** all authorised clergy, bishops, archdeacons, licensed readers and lay workers, churchwardens and PCCs must have due regard to safeguarding guidance issued by the House of Bishops (this will include both policy and practice guidance).

C0 & C1 Safeguarding and Domestic Abuse Training Link

PCC Members are required to undertake the 'Basic' (C0) online training course. It is recommended that they also complete the 'Foundation' Course (C1) and Domestic Abuse training. These can be found on the link below.
